Chalet Rosa B&B - Lauterbrunnen

The breakfast selection was good with different egg options every morning. I particularly enjoyed the communal areas, where I could relax by the fireplace and enjoy warm tea and fresh cake after a long day.

Room felt cramped at times.

Fairly clean place with hospitable and amiable staff and wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and hillsides. Excellent choice of toast, cereal, and eggs at breakfast. Large and compact rooms, had an absolutely amazing stay in this cute town.

Wi-Fi was bad.

Reasonably good and wonderful options for breakfast with cold meats and yogurts. Magnificent location super close to the waterfall.

The staff was friendly, but that's not enough to make up for the awful smell in the room and the noise from the street! I almost gave a good review, but they didn't even consider giving us a discount for the inconvenience. I would have expected some special treatment!

Really had REALLY LOVELY stay in an incredible town. Enjoyable and excellent breakfast with a wide range of cereals, fruit, cheese, tea and toast to satisfy every guest.

The staff was supper friendly and the views were amazing. The rooms were neat and compact and had basic facilities you needed. Hotel's breakfast was exceptionally good, included toast, cereal and eggs.

Staying here had its highlights, especially the friendly and helpful service. The breakfast was quite filling and featured fresh fish. The room had some issues, such as a blocked mountain view that was not what I expected. Parking was a hassle, and I encountered some difficulty in the check-in process.

The room was cozy, with a private bathroom, shower, towels, and free toiletries. The carpeted area added warmth, and there was even a lovely view of the Staubbach waterfall. Breakfast was simple but nice, with options for vegetarians. Spa facilities were a bonus!

Room lacked sufficient size!!! Bathroom shower curtain too short, leading to a wet floor!!! No facial tissues or hair dryer available, odd for the pricing!!! A bigger kitchen area would have been appreciated!!!

Loved the welcome drink and the gorgeous location, but check-in process was a bit slow.

Although the breakfast options repeated every morning, the view of the Staubbach Falls from our room was amazing.

Our Quadruple Room had an amazing view of the Staubbach Falls, and Gabby was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast options were good, especially for vegetarians, and we loved the communal fridge and microwave access. Plus, the location made it easy to explore the fine scenery nearby.

Is it really that good? My take

Lucie and Anthony were fantastic hosts! Breakfast was good, with gluten-free options, and the beds were comfy. Plus, the fine view of the Staubbach Falls.

The market's proximity was nice, but a lack of amenities such as a larger kitchen area and air conditioning could be a drawback for some travelers.

The location is very nice, with iconic views of the nearby waterfall and easy access to hiking trails. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Limited kitchen amenities could be improved for those who prefer to cook more frequently.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the cozy common area with games and the filling breakfast options where I could grab a quick sandwich for a great price. It was nice to unwind with some tea while relaxing in the lounge. The only thing I’d mention is figuring out the parking could be a bit tricky, but it didn’t overshadow my great experience. 😊
